Benedict Musau Nganga is a seasoned humanitarian and development professional with over 20 years of experience in programme leadership, organizational development, and consultancy within the development sector. He holds a Master of Arts in Project Planning and Management and a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work (Community Development and Social Anthropology) from the University of Nairobi.
Benedict has served in senior leadership roles including Country Director, Head of Programmes and Operations Programme Support Manager, where he provided strategic oversight for large-scale humanitarian and development programmes. His experience spans key thematic areas including education in emergencies, child protection, livelihoods, community development, and institutional strengthening, leading multidisciplinary teams and supporting effective programme delivery.
In addition to his leadership roles, Benedict provides consultancy services to development organizations in areas such as research (including baseline studies and case studies), project and programme design and management, project evaluations, capacity building, organizational growth and development, and the development of training manuals and learning resources. He also brings extensive experience in donor relations, partnership development, and stakeholder engagement, working with development partners, government institutions, multi-lateral, INGOs, Corporates, Institutions of higher learning, and community stakeholders to enhance programme impact and sustainability.
As Chief Executive Officer and Secretary to the Board, Benedict provides strategic leadership while supporting effective governance, coordination, documentation, and policy oversight, ensuring strong institutional accountability and alignment with the organization’s mission. He is passionate about strengthening organizations and advancing sustainable, community-driven development.
